Jamèl van de Pas (b. 1997) is a Dutch photographer. Since buying his first camera in 2015 he’s had exhibitions throughout multiple continents, published several books and zines and has worked for respected newspapers. To him, photography is an uncontrollable and primitive reaction to what he sees around him. Every image is an amplified slice of visual consciousness. Through his high-contrasted black and white photography he seeks to express the same level of visual intensity that the subject had on him when he captured it.
